hello i have a prob converting from obd0 to obd1 distributor

i have a 1991 honda civic hatchback dx.i have a new motor

harness that came out-of a1990 crx single cam non-VTEC.

the prob is that the factory distributor plug is a 5 wire pluge

that looks like this

i would like to make a conversion that looks like this

just go to a junkyard and cut the wire that fits the distributor and tape it up try and see if it works.

 

More info on what kind of swap would probably be helpful.

It sounds like your either putting in a SOHC VTEC from a gen 5 civic or you did the mini me swap with a gen 5 head either way if you haven't converted your whole car over to OBD1 then your not going to get it to work. There are ways around it by installing a PM6 module out of a 88-91 civic si or ex with the d16 motor. You are also going to need the distributor, injectors and resistor pack of said SI or EX. Yeah the reply was super late and I found answers else where all those years ago. Found out i have a mini me zc vtec, I bought the car running and when I got it home 2 days later all the wiring was burning melting off. Bad conversion. I ended up buying a distributor from someone here or on another forum orders OD0 to OBD1 ECU kit and someone showed me how to re pin it and it ran on first try. Thank you for trying though.
