Default Help on front driver-side noise 98 civic!

Hi guys, recently i had a wobbling/rumbling in my front end... brought it to a shop and they replaced the hub bearings in both sides, after doing so my car developed a squeaking/grinding sound. my breaks were pulsating as well. i replaced my half shaft and got new brake pads and roaters, but the noise hasnt gone away. the noise only happened when i stopped but now its when im turning at slower speeds. its embaressing. it started as a squeak or bird chirp sound. then it turned into a pulsating grinding with the squeak.... any ideas? it still makes noise, but the pulsating brake went away.

check the backing plate, it may have been bent into the rotor by error.

if you had rebuilt half shafts installed, sometimes it could be the problem. not all places know how to do the bearings properly. lift one side of the front and place it in drive, one axle will turn while the other is on the ground, and you can listen for the noise. be careful that the rear e brake is pulled and chocked so the car will not move. do not run to fast, only enough to listen to the noise. Then do the same for the opposite side front to listen for the noise. Or if you have a

You probably just have a rock caught in between what's supposed to keep debris off your shafts and the shaft itself. That is if the noise happens and/increases as you drive. Get under it an give it a couple fingers.

Pull off the rotor on that side and grind/ sand off the rust on the face of the hub, also do the same on the inside of the rotor where it will contact the hub. Clean it really good so it's nice and smooth and even, then apply some antiseize to the face of the freshly sanded hub. Reinstall rotor, caliper bracket ( make sure the pads move freely in the bracket, clean up as needed). Reinstall the wheel and hand torque to 80lb. Test drive.
