I have a 1993 honda civic dx

i wanted to know what other years i could use parts from?

Also my old school mechanic says i need an air filter assembly

wtf?? Is that an intake?

I gotta learn somewhere.

Thank you for helping a newbie out lol

that depends on what part but generally 92-95 and the assembly is more then just an intake its the intake,fillter housing,resonator and what ever tubes go befor that.

Welcome in,I can't think of why you would need an air filter asse. Unless one of the tubes is damaged and drawing unfiltered air. I would look at Aftermarket Cold air intakes if so.

Yeah man you sound a little lost over there, an air filter is like $10 at Autozone or O'Rileys, you can use any parts from a 92-95 civic.
