Default Hit curb with 2018 civic. What are my options?

So I hit a curb while eating yogurtland and I scuffed up my front. What are my options and how much would they cost? I’ve heard sanding and touch up paint should do it but also heard that the whole bumper should be replaced. Also would the dealership just give me touchup paint for like twentyfold fourty bucks. Nothing underneath the car is damaged. Just the front Give suggestions. Thanks!

welcome to the forum light sand and paint go to a paint supply shop that makes the paint, and ask them to sell you a pint (some only sell by the quart ) sand the scuff down and touch up the paint. if you take it to the dealer or a shop, now you have a record of scuff repair on your future rating ( car was in a scuff with the curb) dealership scuff tough up paint about 10.00 for a small bottle. check on it. paint supply shop matches the paint closer.

Hey thank you so much for your help! I didn't know they would make a record if you asked for touchup paint. Do you know what type of sandpaper I should use?

no one will make a report for touch up paint. only if you take it to any shop for repair. light sand with wet or dry 280 grit to get the rough spot smooth, then 400 to smooth it out more, and 600 if you feel it's still not smooth enough for you. usually 400 is good enough. if you can find a you tube on painting small spots, it will help you.

Only fix that I would try. Fill that corner with Epoxy, and sand to proper contour prime and paint. Paint to match Your car is available on the Internet.

I am looking for a way to protect the top portion of the rear pumper and hatch entry from scratches from a small dog trying to climb it. Thinking of some kind of stick on, even paint on amour ,

mickey667r you might try lowes or home depot or a automotive paint shop and get some 4-6" by 36 ' sand paper made for steps, rv centers may also have them, cut to size and stick on the back side. or you might go to your dealership and see if they already carry that accessory. Honda does
