I have just bought a 2016 Honda Civic I-Vtec SF Plus Navi. 1339cc Petrol
It's done around 44,000 miles and the last full service was done at 43,000 miles
I'm used to having older cars and always did my own servicing but I see that this car can be somewhat more complex than I'm used to
If I do manage my own servicing how far should I go above checking all levels and doing an oil and filter change.
The last owner said her last service cost her around £700 which I think is a bit steep and probably includes more than it needed
I'd like to hear thoughts of others on this subject as well as any recommendations

 

welcome to the forum. when i decided to do my own maintenance on my Honda's, first thing i did was to purchase a factory service and repair manual, read thru the owners manual and read up on all the maintenance items that you can do, which is a lot. make sure you use only honda trans fluid, and honda sensors. oil,filter,wipers,tires,brake parts, can all be after market. you can do a lot of maintenance yourself.
