I read on the forum that to take out the instrument cluster requires removing the two screws and then pulling it pretty hard to get the plastic cover out. There is also a third screw (on the 1992 - 1995 model Civic) behind the hazard flasher switch. That must come out (or else the plastic will break - I did it to mine). Hope this helps someone.
