Default intake

hello. I have a 2004 civic ex auto...and i wondering if its worth getting an cold shortram intake on my car...and i was thinking of getting an AEM cold intake...if anyone know any good intakes to put in a 2004 civic ex auto it would be greatly appreciated. and does an intake give u better gas mileage? juss curious

on my non-civic, i have picked up a little performance, and some better fuel mileage from my CAI.

yes it would be worth it even though it will only make 2-4 wheel horse power (whp) it will have better gas mileage but the whp it not huge gas money is crucial

power?..yes. gas milage?..yes. the sound alone is worth it!! short ram is louder by far.

has anyone actually dynoed the stokc air box vs. the cold air intake if you have charts that would be cool

Gas mileage will only improve if you don't always hit the gas to hear your intake. Drive it like you normally do and you will get better gas mileage. Otherwise you will lose fuel economy.
And to answer Vtechsi18 there have been many dyno results for intake vs. stock air box and it does make a difference you will notice even more of a difference if you put an exhaust system on also. Read through the message board some more read alot of magazines Honda Tuning, Sport Compact Car, etc.... Usually when new products come out they test them. I would also do my own research on products. Find out if some else has the same product for the same car and what kind of results they have with it.
