Key Won't Turn in Ignition
2005 Honda Civic Hybrid, steering wheel is locked, wheels are straight. Tried wd40 didn't have red straw. Jiggled key moved steering wheel side to side. Key works in doors and in trunk. Went to car wash turn car off got out then reached in and grabbed keys out of ignition. When got back in car had trouble getting key into ignition finally did and then the key wouldn't turn to start car. What do i do? Had to have car towed home.
Try moving the key in and out a few times to see if that will release the tumblers.
Spray WD-40 will also help.
Then try stepping on brake and see if you can move the gear selector thru the gears.
(sometimes need small screwdriver to push on release)
Move back into park or neutral and try key again. Sometimes it works.

Well I had to call a locksmith to come out. He had to repair the tumblers and made me a new key. My old keys don’t work anymore and will damage the ignition if used. So $280.00 later it is fixed. If I want a spare key he can make one for another $70.00.
I made a copy of the key by locksmith san diego near me and they charged me $40 for it.
