ive got a d16y7 that just about every other day will idle at 200 or less rpm and then sometimes the tach will drop to 0 and the car will not die but just barley keep itself running. and sometimes will die but starts and everything else fine.

 

Welcome to the forum,I can only guess that it would be the fuel pump,get a fuel pressure gauge hook it to the fuel rail and check pressure.

 

i dont thinks its the fuel pump someone was telling me that the motor had some kind of low idle switch or something on it. maybe if someone could give me a proper name for it if there is such a thing. but it runs great if u hit the brake pedal or turn on the a/c or heat it will idle back up. anyone????? it only happens while coming to a stop after getting the motor warmed up thats the only time.
