Hey I'm new to the forum guys! I got myself a 2002 Honda Civic LX and I was wondering what other engines I can swap parts with. Meaning after market proformance parts that is. I've got a cold air intake, High proformance coils and plugs, stage 3 Thornton tuning chip, DNA 4-1headers on the way. I'm looking for a adjustable cam gear but can't find any for my specific engine. So like I was saying is there any other engines like mine that parts are enter changeable? The d17a2 is VTEC but it looks identical to mine. And what else should I upgrade within the engine itself other than doing a swap cause I will probably end up getting a K20, K24 to build up completely before dropping it in so I can get to everything easier.. just wanted to know what to do about finding parts for my D17A1 mainly.

 

Most parts from D17A2 will fit the D17A1 except for the VTEC and ABS stuff. Also, some other Honda engines have the same components like brake fluid reservoir, power steering reservoir, radiator caps, and little things like that. I even put one of my fans from my 2004 civic lx on a 03 Odyssey exl with the 3.5l v6.
