Default Need Help About a Oil Leak Issue with 2009 Civic!

Hi everyone, I currently have a 2009 Honda Civic 4dr, and I recently went in the Honda dealership in my town to get an oil change. They tell me after the oil change, there's an oil leak, and they need to put some type of glue, which I'm looking at about $300.

Am I being ripped off, or something? I wanted to do my due diligence before I just hand over $300. Thanks to anyone in advance!

Ask them what the glue is for.

Looks like they need to reseal the timing cover. The "glue" they are talking about is more than likely Hondabond, liquid gasket, that is used to seal the timing chain cover area. Looks legit to me.

It might be under a powertrain warranty though, have them check for any bulletins or powertrain coverage the car may have
