Default No heat on 94 Civic DX

Hey all,
Ive got a heat problem with a 94 Civic DX. The blower works fine. The temperature gauge shows that its heating up properly so I dont think its the thermostat. There is no sigh of leakage in the heater core. Its getting cold out, can anyone help? Thanks. Ken

I don't beleive it is your thermostate. This only opens and closes when the water is hot to allow circulation thru the radiator. If the blower works and the water is getting warm ( operating temp ) there is a blockage thru the heater core, hot water is not being pumped thru properly to heat up the heater core.May be a valve stuck closed or the temp control is not opening to allow hot water through the heater core.

Thanks for the response. The valve in the heater hose going into the car was stuck closed. No water was getting into car. The valve wasntfrozen or seized, it just wasnt open. What opens and closes that valve? Where does the other end of the cable connect to inside the car? Thanks.

Go to autozone.com, and enter your info on the car, its free, and it will show you pic's and instructions on how to and where, also costs on parts if needed. Majestic Honda also show parts, but difficult to see the diagrams.
