So the honda guy is stumped
Okay so about 6 months ago my clutch went out. Due to not being allowed to work on my car in my apartment complex I got my mechanic to replace it. About a week after I got it replaced it went out again. He said it was the cable. Well after taking a closer look at it he noticed that the clutch assmebly in the cabin (the arm with the pedal) had about and inch of play to the left or right. He said that he could replace the cable but without replacing the assembly it would just go out again or not work at all. I'm no good with transition stuff so I was wondering if I could get away with just replacing the cable because this part is IMPOSSIBLE to find or if I really need to get a new assembly
same here.. the cable is stretched or something like that i dont see how the arm having an since of play left and right would make it not engage properly since its a front to back pivot motion but apparently he says i need one or it wont last long.. if im not mistaken the arm has always done that though.. im not sure i just wanted to get some opinions before i drop more money than need be into this car
and the reason the clutch went out originally is because i taught my girlfriend at the time how to drive a stick on that car.. i know i know a true car guy knows NEVER to let a woman learn to drive a stick on his car lol but it happened
