hey my name is jonathan and i have a 94 civic lx with 1.5 sohc non-vtec, starter was shot so i tried to replace it but when i pulled the starter out, it was a starter for a manual trans. when i have an auto, so went to parts store, got the same starter and it won't turn the mototr over. got the starter designed for the car and it wouldn't work either. now, i hear there are 3 different starters for this car so if anybody could help a dude would be great

 

Is it clickin over? Making any kind of noise at all?

 

there could be a couple things goin on you should first off check your battery first to make sure it's only your battery not your starter. many people assume that if there is no click then it's the starter... not true...

 

to know exactly which starter to use, look for your car chassis number. It's usually found insider the car bonnet
