i want to to lower my civic but dont want to slam it

should i get springs or coil-overs

 

welcome to the forum, do not get coil overs, this slams the civic to the ground and the ride is hard, also difficult to go over speed bumps and steep driveways. you an get your springs retempered to drop the amount you want and use the stock shock/struts. Coil overs have their own style of shock/struts.
