Default Transmission fluid change at 95k?

So I have a 2007 civic with the automatic transmission. At 95k on it.

So the transmission fluid has never been flushed or changed. The level is good still. It still has its red/pink color but I can tell its no longer that bright redish color like if it was brand new. The transmission is working fine but think I should do maintenance which is over due now... I hear some people say if you are this far overdue it may be better to just leave the fluid in there as is.... I have mixed feels... the color of the fluid doesn't look so bad... thinking I should do a fluid change.. also likely should change the transmission filter. then maybe a month after my 1st change... maybe do another change to get more old fluid out?

Advise? thank you.

welcome to the forum. Honda maintenance schedule shows trans fluid change at 90k miles. I have an 07 Fit. 290k miles, have changed the fluid 4 times since new. fluid looks nice and clean. will continue to service it each 90k or less due to milage is now higher. you might have heard of the old fluid from the older American cars. when the fluid is so burnt, changing the fluid caused the clutch to slip and slide. foreign cars trans a little better and needs the fluid changed and kept nice and clean. last a longer time.

Some say not to flush the trans instead drop the pan and change it, I have done the flush when my Accord was shifting funny,it fixed it,now at 95K I dropped the pan . Good luck.
