unique 2000 si starting issue
I have a 2000 Civic si. I have been searcing and trying things on the car for a couple weeks and still no luck.
Ill start from the begining. about 6 weeks ago the car started developing a very bad miss. I replaced the plugs and wires and it ran great again. This lasted about 3 weeks and the miss came back. After turning the ingition over noticed the screw had come out. At this point the car still ran, just with a bad miss. So i figured i had found the issue and replaced the cap, rotor and screw. To my suprise it now would no longer start at all.
I have verified the fireing order, checked each plug for spark and they all get good hot spark, the fuel pump is engaging and injectors are opening propoperly. Upon turning key the cel comes on for 2 seconds and turns off like it should. all fuses are good.
I'm completly stumped on this right now. I have not checked the timing yet, but that seems unlikely as it still fired and ran before changing the cap and rotor. Oh and i also tried putting the old cap and rotor back on and still nothing.
Any ideas? I'd GREATLY appreciate any help
