Default Want to lower 1990 honda civic. What's the best/cheapest way?

I've had my 1990 honda civic hatchback for over a year now and I really want to do something else to it. Im looking to lower it about 1.75-2 inches to improve the look and performance. What's the best and cheapest way to do it? I've heard so many people debate whether to get coil overs or springs. Any ideas or thoughts?

Heres my ride btw.

well i always recommend a full coilover because the spring rate is perfectly matched to the valving on the damper. also you have the ability to raise or lower your car in the future to fine tune your needs especially in the winter so your not plowing snow and can fit snow tires. im not familiar with what companies make suspension for your year but stay far far away from chinese or tiawanese companies remember you get what you pay for. save your money for something reputable and do it rite the first time or it will bite you in the *** in the future.
