Ive owned my honda since june 06 i did nothing to it until december of 06 when i put on a kn filter, before the filter i got about thirty to thirty three/mpg now i get like 15 - 20/mpg. Im considering having it looked at but i dont wanna be suckered into buying something i dont need. Can anyone help me???

just wondering when you took off the old intake hose, was there a small hose attatched to it where the new polished aluminum pipe does not have the hook up? This might be a sense hose or a vac hose that needs to be hooked up. ( Not positive on this small hose on the newer model )

 

well see, its the stock tubing with the filter fitting very snug over the end theres no new polished tube. still has all the sensors and all the hoses attacthed as far as i know. Is it possible maybe another hose came off and thats whats causing all the chaos???

sorry, I forgot to ask if you have a cold air intake or the stock square filter, replacement. If it is the stock square replacment, check the filter for excessive debri plastic, paper, etc.and Proper installation.

 

well, i did have the cold air intake, but now to diagnose and see if the problem is with the filter or my car i put the stock air box back on because i need the good gas mileage. So until then im gonna stay with my stock air box but thanks for your help.
