Default 1998 Honda Civic LX in need of Gas Tank..

How do I go about doing this? Not step by step, just bear in mind I'm a girl- is this a job that can be done by me or do I need a mechanic?
If I find a cheap fuel tank at a junk yard, can I carry it myself or will I need the help of someone else??
Any input will be of help; Please and thank you!!

welcome to the forum. Might suggest getting a service manual for your car, this will help you fix your car and save a lot of money. Most salvage yards have the gas tank removed from the car due to epa or safety, and left in the trunk of the vehicle. Also can check in ebay, craigs list, or call a salvage yard and ask them to put the request on a hot line. Also on the internet there is a site that will help you look for a good used fuel tank. several salvage yards will email you. Changing is not hard, make sure you empty your current gas tank before dropping it. If you get a good used one, you can see how light it is.
