2008 Honda Accord Cylinder Deactivation Bank 2
Rundown (V6, 160,000 miles): In March, I experienced rough idling problems, engine would jerk like it was misfiring, and sputter when I accelerate. I pulled a code regarding my VVT Solenoid, got it replaced, and took it to Honda Dealership to have ECU cleared of code. The car was driving fine until a month later when I got my oil changed at my Honda dealership. Check engine light came on again, this time the code was P3497 Cylinder Deactivation System Bank 2. Got advice that I may need to drain the oil and put in a synthetic oil due to the high milage. Car ran okay with no check engine light for a few weeks, but now the code is back. Engine jerks on first startup, but after I turned it off and restart, car runs normal, with the exception of when I do speeds in excess of 60mph. Could this be a sensor issue, spark plug issue or an actual cylinder issue?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
