Default '96 civic blows battery fuse

Dear forum, My '96 civic wasn't charging and I had the alternator replaced. Then it metered that it was charging, but the car stalled with lights dimming first. Battery fuse blew. Replaced old battery. Code popped up for crank position sensor (it May have been hidden for a while behind the light for the speed sensor) Drove it home five minutes from the garage. The next time I started it, the battery fuse blew again. I checked the continuity of the crank position sensors behind the distributor and they checked out fine.Topped of battery and winter happen and it sat for a little bit. Seems like the battery was draining sitting more than it should, so I changed it up and disconnected it. After months of sitting, started up just fine. I freed up the brakes and let the fluids circulate. And shut it off. I will appreciate any advice on what my next step should be. Thanks
