We were at the outer banks and the wind caused sand to blow a lot . When we washed the vehicle at home noticed sand ingrained into the paint - we did have the paint protection but there is still a sandy feel - any ideas how to get it off? The dealership suggested a power wash car wash .

 

welcome to the forum. i don't believe the sand is ingrained into the paint but paint has been sand blasted. get some 3m polishing compound and rub a small area not to obvious to the eyes and see if it rubs the paint blasting out, with out taking off the paint. usually the shine will not return if sand blasted, may need to repaint to look good again. happens a lot to windshields also when looked at a different angle from the sun.
