Ok so i just bought a 1989 civic hatch..I cant figure out why it wont turn over..There was oil in the coolant over flow along with in with the spark plugs..also its a stock D15b2 and has an SI computer i cant figure out why it wont run?

 

Welcome to the forum. You say no turn over, check the battery for voltage and clean terminals, check the starter to see if it works at all and has good 12 volts, do you have good clean gas and carb or injecter system clean, and fuel pressure. fuel filter good, air filter clean. This is a start.

 

yeah i checked all that it wants to turn over but wont start..but i looked at the timing belt today and it looks to be 180 degrees off...and i could pulll it off by hand...would that prevent it from starting????...im new to hondas i use to build mini trucks so im kinda lost...

yes, check that the timing belt has not got any broken off or worn teeth. sounds like u need a new timing belt change? What's the kms on yr dash? it must be over 200 000 kms?
