Trans slipping in drive. I put it in 2nd gear on shifter and drove home with no slipping. Bad solenoid? Or trans fried?

 

welcome to the forum hope you are using Honda ATF only. no aftermarket fluid. easiest to do is a trans fluid change if you have not done one in the year. if its the first time, change fluid and run for a few days, change the fluid again, run for a few days then change for the 3ed time. or take to a shop that uses honda only atf and have them change the fluid.

 

I know that sometimes the "D" in the PRND21 will flash if the solenoid becomes an issue. Changing or doing a drain and fill sometimes helps??
Not a tranny specialist and unfamiliar with this issue.
