Default To SPARE or Not To Spare, That Is The Question??

Now I am generally a Conservative Dude in many of not most cases, and I am against too much Government involvement (Not getting Political, REALLY :-) )), but in the case of new cars, I feel that the, "

NHTSA | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration"

Needs to make car manufacturers include a spare tire, especially for what is spent on new cars.

I had ordered one for our new Honda, with the tire kit, Jack, etc, and the box arrived yesterday without the kit. Now I get to fight that fight, LOL.

What say y'all about requiring spares, making it mandatory???

I did not like it when the manufacturers went with the donut spare tire. Now it is just a can of flat fix??
They went from good to worse to the absolute insane.
No shop wants to work on a tire in which flat fix liquid was used.

I agree totally. I have three choices if I happen upon a nail, or even if it has gone flat, 1) I keep one of those small air inflators in each vehicle, trying that first, and if it holds long enough to get to the nearest tire store, cool.

2) If that tire will not hold that long enough to get me there, then that crappy thing they gave us, I'll use.

3) Change to my new spare as a last result.
