I just finished installing a new OEM water pump impeller kit in my 8 hp Honda outboard. I noticed that when it is hooked up to the hose... water comes out of existing holes, 2 on the port side and 3 on the starboard side above where the hose cup hooks on. (See attached 2 photos

QUESTION: is this normal for water to come out of those holes? I do not recall ever seeing that before, but then again I never really looked. Maybe I did not hook something up correctly?
