Default Oil change problem?

I just finished my first 20 hours on my new Honda 50 hp outboard. Upon draining the oil I noticed something weird drain out. I sifted trough the used oil and found three pieces of whitish/yellowing rubber. One stretched out to about an inch, the other two were 1/4" by 1/4" - and had the feel of a doctor's thin rubber glove.
I brought it in the the local Honda shop and the mechanic said he has seen this a few times and that I shouldn't be overly concerned. Well, I am. I would like to get in contact with Honda so they can verify what it is, but don't know where to start.
Anyone have this similar problem?
Thanks.

Yeah... You should be concerned that's out of the Norm.? some kind of
ruber seal in the engine is deteriorating or has let go is my guess. keep an eye on Your oil Level for time being.

welcome to the forum. make sure you document what the dealer said or advised, then get a hold of honda america in your area and call or send them a mail re: what you saw in the eng oil. then go from there. Hope you kept the items found in the oil.
