Water in oil of bf20d engine
Hi all, just purchased my first boat, an Orkney 440 with a bf20d main engine. The boat was laying up a few months and found the engine hard to rev out which was caused by old fuel sitting in the carb. Cleaned the carb and solved that issue and found another. I started the engine up in a barrel of water on a cold day and found it to be smoking a little bit too much so I checked the engine oil and found it to be slightly milky and also over filled. It is also oiling up the water in the barrel I am running it in. Are these 2 issues linked and can anyone point me in the direction of where to look next to help diagnose these issues. Much appreciated.
