I have a 2002 Honda Metro scooter. It was running fine last week with no start up issues. I tried to start it yesterday and this is what happens...I turn the key on and I get a very brief, 1 second, blink of the speedo light and then it goes out. No horn or lights afterwards.. Hit the starter button and no sound as if trying to crank, complete silence. This is what I have done or checked... New battery with a checked voltage of 12.89 on meter, all fuses intact, kill switch in proper position for cranking, swapped out starter relay from running bike with no improvement, both battery leads are tight and in place with positive containing fuse box.. Where do I go from here? Does it sound like a circuit malfunction? Thanks

 

Don't know much about your scooter
But, no crank, no start ...
You will need to test the starter motor
Turn the key and see if it is getting power and ground
If it is then starter motor suspect.
Sometimes you can get another crank out of it by hitting the starter motor
If not getting power or ground then must find out why and fix it.
