Honda Metropolitan II Starting Issue
Greetings From The Land of The Alamo!
I have a perplexing problem with my Honda Metro.
It will not startup initially unless I take the top & vacuum piston off the carb and pour in a small amount of raw fuel. After that it starts up and runs fine.
I have cleaned the carb, replaced jets & replaced bystarter. What else should I be looking at?

Hello There & Thanks for The Speedy Response. Please tell what is the problem I will be addressing with this procedure? I can hear the fuel pump clicking and once started the engine runs good.
I appreciate your insights.

Check for weak spark
You might have spark but a weak spark will not ignite the fuel
Dumping raw fuel in to get the engine to crank fast enough, might help the spark
Next check to see if fuel pump is running while crank engine.
