How to measure scooter clutch friction pad thickness
Hi all,
Opened up my scooter to check the clutch for wear today.
Problem is the friction pad is partly embeded in the metal of the clutch shoe don't know whether to measure the it right from the bottom or to measure how far it protrudes.
According to my manual the standard thickness is 4mm and the minimum thickness is 2mm. When I measure the total thickness I get 3.7mm and when I measure only how much it protrudes I get 1.6mm. So my friction pads are either slightly worn or severely worn depending how I measure it.
