Default SH150i - why so inconsistent?

SH150i auto ignition cut-out

I have a 2022 Honda SH150i. The battery runs out on a regular basis because I accidentally (stupidly?) left the ignition on.

Is there any way to set the engine management system so that the engine AND ignition cuts out when I lower the side stand, or even walk away with the wireless key? The ignition and lights will cut out after a minute when I turn the engine ignition selection disk to the 'open seat and fuel' setting, why does it not happen for the main ignition?

Because I am used to scooters and motorcycles having a keyed ignition, and I always take the ignition key out when I stop, so I never had any problems before.

Thanks!
Vaughan

because it's so new it may be hard to find a shop manual, but maybe talk to honda service close to you and see if there is an option set incorrectly that is allowing that to happen. they may be able to change something in the computer.
