Default Accessory mode

I have 2015 CRV. At times, when trying to start.. it does ACCESSORY MODE, and wont start without pushing START SWITCH several times. I have replaced battery, key fob batteries, had key fobs rebuilt & programmed. Ive done these from what ive seen on internet. Does anyone else have any ideas? thanx

Welcome to the forum.

Check your brake switch for play and/or push the brake pedal harder before you push start. If that is ineffective and with the assumption that all the fob thrashing was done correctly, then you might have a faulty start switch.

See you in the CR-V section…

You would see the switch by contorting yourself under the drivers side dash and following the brake pedal arm up until you find it. Example:

Shall we assume (yup assume) that you tried mashing the brake pedal on start and it still went into accessory mode?

Limit Attained.
