I had a full tank of gas. I was driving down the road when my car completely died. Thought my battery died so I tried jumping it. Still won't turn over. When I try to start the car, I hear a loud whining noise which I believe could be a bad starter motor. However that doesn't explain why my car suddenly died and I can't start it. All fuses are good. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you!

 

welcome to the forum. When was the last time you had your timing belt changed? also have you ever run your car out of gas, if so, possible fuel pump failure. or if you have several keys or a heavy key chain, the key ignition may be going bad.
