Default Hi from MD! New guy here. Wanted to ask about changing tires.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself and reach out about changing your tires.

How often does everyone get their tires changed and is it really that necessary?

I am familiar with the penny trick (see below) but are there any other tricks to tell if you need to replace them?

When to Replace your Tires Waldorf, MD | Waldorf Honda

Let me know what you guys think!

Much appreciated

Welcome in,age and condition apply. Any number of reasons to change tires, worn from being out of alignment cupped from unbalance, dry rotted from age or just plain worn out with little tread left.take your pick.

The penny trick is generally used for tires that are getting worn out. In that case you can also run your finger through the tread grooves and somewhere in the grooves you will feel an elevated bump that is there to provide a mark to let you know when you should replace your tires. If that mark is exposed with the surface of the tire then that means your tires should be replaced. However, that means it's generally unsafe for driving in wet conditions.
