I just bought a 1989 accord 2dr lxi because my truck was killing me in gas and have just done a basic tuneup. (plugs wires cap rotor pcv fuel filter air filter) and I still have the starting when hot problem i have read about. My question would be if i hear my main relay click just before attempting to start could it still be bad ? Car idles a little high even with adjustment as low as it can go (1200rpm) and i have a check engine light on. The car runs great once its started other than the lil high idle. Oh one more thing i hear a slight whistle from under hood during acceleration any ideas

Welcome to the forum,I am not sure about your starting problem,relay may be bad,I would buy another and try ,the whistle could be a small hole in the air intake duct,or if you have an aftermarket Air intake system, they are more open than stock and sometimes tend to whistle a little ,I know mine does.
