Default New Honda Owner

Hello Honda Forum,
I am the proud new owner of a '99 Civic 4 door. It has a real straight body, horrible paint, super clean interior and handles like its on rails. It has also been molested by a rookie tuner and runs a little rough. I had an '88 CRX just long enough to replace some bent valves and resell. Also have a '77 Goldwing which I built frome the frame up and a '93 900RR, but this is the first Honda I bought to drive long term. I am looking forward to learning the lingo and all of that cool Honda code language as well as getting my new car driveable.
Thank you all in advance for your help, as I will surely need it.
Gator

you should have kept the CRX there the holy grail of civics especially the 88-89 which were the lightest and supposedly the best handling civics ever.the CRX HF in particular was the lightest at 1850lbs. there a collectors item now.

Yeah I had an 88 Si model and that thing was a blast to drive. I miss that car. But finding parts for it are near impossible.

It was a pos on wheels. I'm glad you guys liked yours, but you'd probably never drive a Honda again if you sat in this turd for 30min. I made a few hundies off of it though, and for that reason, I do like the CRX.

Don't misunderstand me here. I like Hondas in general and actually wanted a CRX instead of the Civic I got. This particular car, however, was a serious lunk. Wether because of mileage, poor maintenance, abuse or whatever. If this was somebodies first Honda experience, it might be their last, at least for quite a while.

They can take a lot of abuse and keep ticking.
