I have a 99 Odyssey that needs a catalytic converter to be inspected. I don't want to spend $1K plus for a factory converter. I thought I read somewhere that some aftermarket converters would still cause the check engine light to burn. Is there an aftermarket converter that is best for the Odyssey?

no not really when you buy after market its kind of a gamble. there are better brands but there still not oem quality. you could also get a used oem cat.
