Hey people my friend has got a Honda Stream (jap import) and it is refusing to start.. so im trying to help him out so im on here ..

i used to own a civic before so im not completely new to them! but what i have noticed is that every honda i have owned the engine management light comes on when the ignition is on and turns off after a couple of seconds but my friends one doesnt come on when you turn the ignition on (is this normal for the stream?)

we have checked all fuses !

is there any fuel cut off switch on the car? if so where is it located

My wife had that problem with her CR-V and it was a bad wire at the alternator plug. You may try checking that out. I just spliced a new alternator plug on and the plug was from an old civic harness. This issue drained the battery because the alternator wasn't charging the battery so it would just die in the middle of the road. Hope this helps and is the answer to your issue.
