Tree fell on my 2007 Odyssey EX and smashed out the right rear quarter window. There were 2 wires attached to the glass. Are these for some security system? No alarm went off when tree hit the van but I'm sure it wasn't locked at the time. I assume the alarm is activated when the car is turned off and the doors locked.

Several days later and the battery is run down. I think one of those wires was touching the body. I had taped a cover over the window to keep the rain out until the insurance company decides what they are going to do. Today I removed the window connector from the plastic plugs so no more chance of a short.

PS. the quarter window is glued in. No hinges on this year. Looks like the chrome trim is applied to the glass before it's glued in place.
