Thanks for taking your time on this.
I'm trying to diagnose a noise that seems to be coming from the belt area. It's like a whining noise while the engine is idling, but seems to go away when driving.
No power issues or anything else, just this annoying noise!

This Pilot has 206,000 miles and runs great, otherwise.

Thoughts or questions, please let me know.

 

I should add, that the previous owner sprayed WD-40 into the area shown, and that stops the whining, but not for long. I don't have the guts to do that. lol Seems risky.
..but a good symptom for clues! I suppose!

Which pulley did he spray the WD-40?
That would tell you what needs to be repaired/replaced
