I'm trying to replace a broken driver mirror (heated). The mirror can be controlled by the switch but it doesn't stay positioned. It also has a lot of play.
Attached is the mirror I'm replacing and the part for replacement. It looks like a ring or part of the mirror actuator might have broken and dislodged while attempting to remove it. Please see attached pictures.

Can any one look at the images and tell me if the inner ring is broken on the old mirror? Just trying to replace the two mirrors.
