Looking to buy a Honda Civic EX coupe. I was involved in an accident on January 14th, 2020. My Civic has been totaled by person's at fault insurance company. I loved my Civic and wish to replace it.

 

welcome to the forum. wow what a hard crunch. hope you came out ok. have you tried your local honda dealerships used car dept, ebay, we have a craigs list, private party sales, internet sales.

 

Yes sir. I've been scouring over the want ads of I think every car sales website available. There are plenty of Honda Civics starting with the 2012 year and newer. Fewer coupes, even fewer EX trim models and the biggest hurdle is the mileage under 70,000, priced under $10,000 out the door and in the baby blue color. (At least that is what I called the blue) I've found 4 across the whole USA for sale which changes almost daily due to the car's popularity and of course fantastic gas mileage.

I want to add, the car's safety ratings also. I'm very sore right now, but they say my body will heal given time. Wearing my seatbelt and the airbags deploying probably saved my life with me turning away from the other car rather than not turning like the police say you should do. I'm like officer? Are you for real? I'd have a steering wheel implanted in my chest and be dead if I had not turned away and softened the hit. My little Honda turned a SUV Jeep 90% sending it into the road ditch embankment. I'm thank-full to still be here.

 

info only. 9th gen civic, 2011 to 2016 almost looks the same before 10th gen made. if you are not dead set on 2012, those years all looked similar. people who were not there in person always have comments as to what or what not to do. not being there does not qualify them of their corrections. i'm glad your soreness will heal in time and your alive. i used to work in a tow yard and did help the NTSB with a/c wrecks that is why my remark was that was a hard crunch. hope you find another civic like the one you had. i owned a 89 & ,02, civic, all good cars.

 

This also was not my 1st Civic. I had an older 4 door probably 5 to 10 years before purchasing this coupe. I keep my eyes out for any Honda with low mileage. They are very hard to find. Especially ones with a one owner title and not a salvage like mine would be at this point. I did see a 2017 LX coupe. Different in the body style yes, but I learned that while it lacked certain options mine had, it had the nice rims and things most important to my tastes. It is black, never owned a black car before, but the interior is gray. Fits the bill for me. Just a money thing now. Like I said, while still very sore, I'm thankful to still be opening my eyes in the morning. So many are not that lucky or blessed. Take care in your everyday happenings.
