Default XM Reset

I've got a 2015 Accord with the factory radio. My XM has failed. A new antenna would set me back close to $600 from a dealer. My question is has anyone ever had success unplugging the power cord and antenna and having the problem resolved? It seems to be recommended for aftermarket installations, but not factory.

Welcome in,it certainly would be worth a try, similar to a reboot on computers. Good luck.

As a follow-up, an installer at the local Best Buy told me that he could install one of my two portable XM units if there was an auxilary input. The way the system is designed he did not think my problem existed because of a loosen connection behind the dash. Do you know if such an input exists in a 2015 Accord?

I assume that You have contacted XM. Is FM and IPOD input working okay?

No, I didn't contact XM because last year, the reception would come in for a little while. Also for some reason, it would periodically play for longer time periods during the winter months. No more. It now never connects. The FM radio works fine, if that's what you're asking. I've never used the iPod input.

I called XM numerous times, and received satisfactory service, I might suggest that You do the same. PS they are easy to back down on there prices, if You threaten to leave their service. Good luck.
