Hey. New to the forum, but love my CRV. have a 01 with 222k miles and still running strong. i have done some special touches on the inside to give it my own taste. I am looking to get more power in it. Want to try to make it one of a kind. DO NOT want to add the angry bumble bee muffler, want it powerful, fast, but nice a quiet. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to increase the horse power or what engine and transmission i could look into putting in. Just wondering.

 

welcome to the forum. Turbo will give you some good power. intake and exhaust only gives better breathing and sound.

 

With installing turbo, what else would i need to do or have done? i don't want to get more horse power and then blow the transmission. I would love the crate engine Honda released but that is a nice chunk of change. Type R with 306 horsepower, wonderful looking thing. Its is a 01 so I am not really worried about any kind of warranty. I have been looking at upgrading the intake system. not super worried about sound. Living in SC there is no admissions test. I have already gutted the Cat put de-fouler on the rear O2 sensor (had to get that pesky engine light off).
Not rushing into doing anything right now just looking at options and budget

i was thinking of looking into a k&n cold air intake
