Question 2025 crv ex

So I have just purchased a 2025 CRV and have a few questions.

1. Is there anyway to mute the radio or phone volume from the steering wheel? My Subaru had a mute button.
2. How do you mount a front license plate? I really do not want to drill a hole in the bumper. There is some weird bracket found in the trunk.
3. Is there "break in oil" and when should I do my first oil change?
4. Is there any harm in leaving the engine in econ mode other than slower acceleration?

Thanks for any response. So far I love the car.

1. Two separate functions. Phone mute option during a call is available from the button with the handset icon.
See the section in the big book titled “options during a call”.
Radio can be muted with Siri if connected or via the - button.

2. How do you mount a front license plate? I really do not want to drill a hole in the bumper. There is some weird bracket found in the trunk.
2. If you live in a front plate state the dealer should have mounted it for you. Take it back.

3. Is there "break in oil" and when should I do my first oil change?
3. No However it is considered a good idea to change the factory oil after the break-in period that nobody told you about:
“During the first 600 miles (1,000 km) of operation, avoid sudden acceleration or full throttle operation so as not to damage the engine or powertrain. Avoid hard braking for the first 200 miles (300 km) after purchasing your new vehicle or replacing the brake pads or rotors, to allow for proper break-in.”

4. Is there any harm in leaving the engine in econ mode other than slower acceleration?
4. Nope.

5. Check for recalls.

new c r v touring 2025
3 recalls
fuel pump. steering wheel and ???
I made an appointment for a recall on the fuel pump
i get called in by the dealership... i was specific about the fuel pump
so i take the touring in for the fuel pump
sorry we can only do the steering wheel problem the fuel pump has not been released by whoever the hell.
so so far we had payed for a new touring that turned out to be a demo
payed for the front windows and windshield to be have a screen that we did not get
now it seems we are going to have take back the car for the fuel pump whenever it gets released.....
and who knows how many more recalls to come.....
i drove a nissan rogue for 15 years ..... no problems
so the lesson is stay with what you know
