Default 98 CR-V Alternator failed, battery blew. All fixed, but only tachometer not working.

Hi all, thanks to helpful insight from other posts, we finally got that )$&@! alternator out. Never again!

It failed badly, taking a newish battery with it. It also took out taillights and low beams. Also popped something with the heater motor, as it’s constantly on regardless of dials and I have to remove the under hood relay to shut it off (replaced with new relay, still no joy).

Main problem now is that the tachometer is completely dead. All fuses seem okay (though there isn’t a specific one for tach, right?). Any ideas? Speedometer works.

Since tach's are run off the Transmission, try fuses on that route. Let us know what you find.
