Default 99 CR-V w/suddenly dead AC

The AC worked fine going to work yesterday, but was non-functional three hours later.

Any ideas on how start the diagnosis will be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you have no idea where to start I advise you take it to a shop.

Default At the beginning.

I would start with easy/no cost. Did you check the clutch fuse?

Possible the refrigerant has leaked out? Check the Ac refrigerant pressure by buying a refill kit with a meter. Or, you can take it to a shop to have it diagnosed?
