Belt extender for booster seat
I just put a booster seat in the backseat for my five year old and am looking for a seatbelt extender that works so he can buckle by himself. Right now the seat belt clip is recessed too far in the seat for him to reach to buckle himself in. I’ve bought two that SHOULD work according to specs but they won’t clip in. Has anyone found one that works? Or is there a way to raise up the clip housing that I am missing somehow? It’s a 2013 CRV.
welcome to the forum. only experience i have had with belt extenders were with aircraft seat belts, and this was all done by a certified a/c seat belt shop that built the extenders either by using belts and buckles, or a/c cable added to extend the buckle. on a vehicle you might be able to go to a auto race shop and see if they can build you a cable extension to the buckle so it will come out of the seat higher for your son to buckle up. most race shops use high quality cable due to race rails do 300mph. also places that built dune buggys might be able to help. upholstery shop may also do belts.
